The Unified Entrance Exam (UEE) is taken by bachelor’s degree students who plan to pursue a Master’s degree.
Preparation for the EIT
We prepare bachelor’s degree holders for admission to master’s programs. English and German for beginners and students with a high level of knowledge
What is the UEE (EIT) and who needs it?
The test consists of 30 questions, with participants receiving one point for each question. It is taken in conjunction with the GAP (General Academic Competence Test, known as TZNK).
This exam is mandatory and tests the student’s knowledge of a foreign language. It is possible to choose one language from several: English, German, French, or Spanish.
The purpose of the UEE is to summarize knowledge and determine whether a student has sufficiently prepared to obtain a full higher education and receive new qualification levels.
How to prepare for the UEE
The preparation program at AP University was developed according to the standards of international examination centers.
Class format
We offer individual courses that are tailored to the student’s level, so there is no need to worry if your knowledge is currently limited. We also offer group classes for students with similar proficiency levels.
Teaching methods
Constant practice, mock tests based on previous years’ examples, exam simulations, and psychological preparation.
Materials
Teachers use their own materials based on British and German university programs, adapted for a Ukrainian-speaking audience.
Course duration
We determine the duration of the course for each specific case based on the student’s current knowledge and the time remaining before the exams.
When is the best time to start preparing for the English UEE?
Your start date should depend on your own abilities and expected results. For students with A1-A2 levels to pass this exam successfully, we recommend starting preparation 3-4 months in advance. Bachelor’s degree holders with a higher level may simply need to refresh their knowledge, which typically takes 1-2 months.
Why choose AP University to prepare for the EIT
We restore strength
Our “Close to You” concept is designed with the needs of students preparing for the UEE in mind. We took care of students in advance: we understand that knowledge from NMT and school days has been forgotten, so we focused on refreshing students’ memories of what they already knew.
We practice
Throughout the course, teachers conduct UEE simulations using sample exams from previous years. No more effective way to prepare for exams has been created yet.
We make the simple more complex
We create training programs based on the experience of our teachers. They have frequently taken foreign language exams and know all the ins and outs of the process, including both academic and psychological aspects.
Tips for taking the exam
The UEE is a comprehensive test that requires thorough and careful preparation, so you need to learn a few things:
- Understand the main idea of the text on which the tasks are based;
- Distinguish between primary and secondary or descriptive information;
- Identify details that are important for the correct answer;
- Learn to deduce the meaning of unfamiliar words from the context.
- Improve your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary to recognize constructions and respond automatically.
Another important factor is the ability to remain confident and calm so that nervousness does not interfere with your performance.

Frequently asked questions about UEE
What subjects are included in UEE?
This test consists of questions about a text in a foreign language chosen by the student (English, German, French, or Spanish). In addition to this part, the general test includes the General Academic Competence Test (TZNK), which tests logical, analytical, and critical thinking. For some specialties, such as education or information technology, you also need to take the UPEE (Unified Professional Entrance Exam, known as YEFVV).
How are the results of the UEE assessed?
The foreign language test consists of 30 tasks, and 1 point is awarded for each correct answer. In the first 6 tasks, you must match statements; in questions 7 to 11, you must choose one correct answer from several options. For questions 12 to 30, students must fill in the blanks in the texts. The raw score (max 30) is then converted to a 200-point scale.
When is the registration period for the 2026 UEE?
In 2026, students can register for the UEE and UPEE during the main period from May 2 to May 23 inclusive, and during the additional period from June 16 to June 17. Those who register for the main session will receive an invitation by June 12, while those registering for the additional session will receive it by July 26.
How to prepare for the UEE in English?
The first step is to take a practice test based on previous years’ samples. This will help determine your current level and identify specific areas that need improvement. While some people study on their own, it is often difficult to identify the reasons for mistakes. Therefore, we recommend seeking help from a specialist with UEE preparation experience.
What are the typical mistakes made during the exam?
Students often fail to allocate their time evenly. They spend too much time on the first part and rush through the second. Another common mistake is inattention, where students miss important details and confuse similar answers. A lack of practice often leads to panic if the actual exam format differs slightly from expectations.
Where can I find official preparation materials?
Some of them, such as answers or demo versions of previous years’ tests, are published on the website of the UCEQA – Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment. You can work through them on your own. However, for beginners and even experienced applicants, this often becomes a difficult task that is hard to accomplish in a short period of time. Our teachers incorporate these materials into their own methodologies to create effective, thoroughly researched programs for guaranteed results.
