Frequently asked questions and answers about studying in the Czech Republic

What documents are required for admission to a Czech university?

A completed and signed application form; a copy of your secondary education certificate, translated into Czech and notarized; a copy of your secondary education transcript, translated into Czech and notarized; a document certifying the nostrification of your secondary education certificate. As well as other documents that each institution requires separately.

What level of language proficiency is required: Czech or English?

Students in the Czech Republic have the option of choosing between Czech and English as the language of instruction, but there are significantly fewer English-language programs than those in the national language. The minimum level of proficiency is closer to B2. This will ensure a comprehensive understanding of the program, facilitate the student’s stay and adaptation in the country, and provide more potential opportunities for career development.

Do you help with obtaining a student visa to the Czech Republic?

Applying for a visa to the Czech Republic is a rather complicated process. Therefore, we offer expert assistance and support, joint communication with the visa center, and monitoring of compliance with all human rights for those who wish to visit a European country. Our goal is to advise and help students enroll in educational institutions abroad.

Are Czech diplomas recognized outside the country?

Yes, thanks to the Czech Republic’s participation in the Bologna Process and its membership in the EU, Czech diplomas are recognized by all EU/EEA members and Switzerland, but for regulated professions (doctors, teachers, lawyers), an additional qualification recognition procedure is required. But that’s not the only factor. The Czech Republic is a signatory to the Lisbon Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in Europe, which simplifies the recognition of diplomas between participating countries: most European countries, the US, Canada, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Turkey, and others.

Are there programs for applicants who do not know Czech?

Education in the Czech Republic is available not only in Czech, but also partly in English. However, the state requires that students who choose the national language receive certain privileges, such as free tuition at most universities and a longer list of available specialties, which contributes to the spread of the Czech language. Partial “Anglicization” increases the popularity of educational institutions.
